Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Be DC ("B★DC", "we", "us") collects when you visit bedc.shop, how we use it, and the choices you have. Be DC is a small independent project based in the Washington, DC area. Send questions to bdcpromotions@gmail.com.
The short version
- This site has no accounts, no newsletter and no checkout.
- We use the TikTok Pixel to measure visits from TikTok. You can turn it off (see "Your choices").
- When you buy, you buy from Printful on bedc.printful.me, and Printful's Privacy Policy covers that purchase.
- We don't sell your information for money.
Information we collect
When you write to us
Our contact form sends nothing on its own. It opens your email app with your name, email address and message filled in. If you send that email, or send a "Notify me" request, we receive what you wrote at bdcpromotions@gmail.com, a Gmail account. We use it to answer you and, for "Notify me" requests, to tell you when the product is available.
When you browse
Your browser shares some technical information with the services that run this site:
- Hosting. Hostinger serves bedc.shop and keeps standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We also publish a copy of the site on GitHub Pages, and GitHub keeps similar logs.
- Fonts. We load our fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, and Google receives your IP address.
- TikTok Pixel. A script from TikTok records each page you view, with your IP address, browser and device details, the page address and cookie identifiers. TikTok uses this to report visits to us, to measure our TikTok ads and to show ads to people who visited bedc.shop. If you have a TikTok account, TikTok may link this information to it. TikTok's Privacy Policy explains how TikTok handles it.
When you buy
The "Shop this design" buttons take you to our Printful Quick Store at bedc.printful.me. Printful, Inc. is the seller there. Printful collects your name, shipping address, email address and payment details under its own Privacy Policy, and a payment processor handles your card. We never see your card number. Printful may share order details with us, such as your name and what you bought. We use those details only to help with your order or answer your questions.
Cookies
bedc.shop sets no cookies of its own. The TikTok Pixel sets cookies so TikTok can recognize your browser across visits. Printful's store uses its own cookies, which Printful describes in its Cookie Policy.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the services named above, to run the site, answer your messages and measure our TikTok ads, or when the law requires it. We don't sell your personal information for money. Some state privacy laws treat ad tools like the TikTok Pixel as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out of that sharing, as the next section explains.
Your choices
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, bedc.shop doesn't load the TikTok Pixel. Firefox, Brave and DuckDuckGo can send this signal, and browser extensions add it to others.
- Browser settings. You can block third-party cookies or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- TikTok settings. If you use TikTok, you can limit ads based on your activity outside TikTok in the app's ads settings.
- Email us. Write to bdcpromotions@gmail.com to see, correct or delete the emails and order details we hold about you, or to opt out of sharing. We answer within 45 days.
How long we keep information
We keep your emails as long as we need them to answer you or to tell you about a product you asked about, and we delete them when you ask. Hostinger, GitHub, Google and TikTok set how long they keep their own logs and data.
Children
We don't direct bedc.shop at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Printful's store requires buyers to be at least 18. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
bedc.shop runs over HTTPS. We store no messages or orders on this site: your emails sit in Gmail and your orders in Printful's systems, and both companies protect them with their own security. No website can promise perfect security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
